It’s difficult to put a set number or quantity with regard to how many of each food group your children should be consuming. The most important thing is to maintain balance. Some days, your child may not desire a certain food group, but they may eat it the next day. Rather than looking at their nutritional intake on a daily basis, look at it on a weekly basis. If they are eating a balanced, nutritious diet throughout the week, then that is the best!
Fun fact: during the first 1000 days, babies bodies are rapidly growing and developing (like stronger eyesight, or use of motor functions, language development--all the fun stuff that makes us who we are).
